LIZZIE'S TUNE, a hand puppet show, is the powerful story of labor leader Mother Jones and her meeting with fictional Lizzie, a 10 year old who loves to play the fiddle and longs to do "something useful". Set in 1912 against the backdrop of the mine wars in southern West Virginia, the firey Mother Jones comes to life in a piece that engages all ages. Participation is encouraged as Zimmer sings songs of the period accompanied by the mountain dulcimer.
